چکیده
Aim of the present study is to evaluate antibacterial efficiency mixed powder preparation from leaf and flower Stereospermum chelonoides its phytochemical evaluation. Bacterial species tested were isolated UTI cases showed multidrug resistance property. one medicinal trees worshiped as Holy plants in Thyagaraja Swamy Temple Thiruvarur. It belongs family Bignoniaceae commonly called Sivappu Pathiri. All parts plant show a biological evidenced through various ethnobotanical databases. Traditional healers use this heal for vomiting, eructation, piles, acidity, diarrhoea, gonorrhoea, loss taste, malaria other fevers. Antimicrobial activity was assessed by making two bacterial isolates disc diffusion drug dilution method. Zone inhibition, MIC, MBC, Percentage inhibition IC50 calculated using standard textual methods. Qualitative quantitative phytochemicals procedures. Active principle SCMPEE evaluated column chromatography, TLC, LC-MS NMR Aqueous (SCMPAE) ethanolic (SCMPEE) extracts produced good against all test organisms with efficient MIC MBC. ranges 53.1% 84.2%. inhibited growth gram negative urinary 274.4 μg/ml Klebsiella pneumoniae SCMPEE. analysis presence tannins, saponins, terpenoids, triterpenoids, flavonoids, anthraquinones polyphenols both extracts. assessment indicated quercetin 3 -O-Glucoside, which could exert via protein precipitation mechanisms. ,
